Islamabad, Jan 28: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have carried out search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital, checking 217 individuals as part of intensified efforts to curb crime and suppress criminal activities.
A police spokesperson reported on Wednesday that, under the supervision of zonal superintendents of police (SPs), extensive search operations were conducted throughout different parts of Islamabad.
During these operations, police teams inspected 96 houses, 14 shops, 53 motorcycles, and 26 vehicles. Additionally, 17 suspicious individuals and seven motorcycles were taken to the respective police stations for further verification.
SSP Qazi of Islamabad stated that the purpose of these operations is to tighten security around criminal elements and enhance security across the city.
He also mentioned that such search and combing operations are being conducted regularly in various areas of the district. The Islamabad Police will continue their relentless action against criminal elements, land-grabbing mafias, and drug peddlers.
