ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted the significance of Shab-e-Barat, one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar, as an exceptional chance for believers to seek repentance, conduct self-accountability, and sincerely turn towards Allah.
In his message to the nation on this occasion, the President described the night, observed on the 15th of Sha’ban, as one of mercy, forgiveness, and divine decision-making. He referenced religious scholars who emphasize that during this night, Allah Almighty grants forgiveness, mercy, and salvation to His followers.
President Zardari reminded believers of Allah’s endless mercy, compassion, and kindness. He urged them to reflect critically on their actions, seek genuine forgiveness, and align their lives with the principles of righteousness and piety.
The President emphasized that Islam promotes patience, forgiveness, compassion, and mutual empathy. Shab-e-Barat, he noted, offers a practical occasion to adopt these virtues, inspiring believers to feel contrition for past mistakes and commit to a more righteous future.
He encouraged citizens to fully embrace the blessings of Shab-e-Barat by respecting others’ rights, fostering peace, tolerance, and harmony in society, and contributing constructively to the nation’s development, stability, and prosperity.
President Zardari conveyed that Shab-e-Barat offers a message of hope, reform, and unity, providing an opportunity to rise above individual interests and prioritize national and collective welfare.
He prayed for Allah Almighty to bless Pakistan with peace and security, economic stability, and national unity, and to grant the people the ability to ease each other’s difficulties, accepting their efforts for the welfare of the country and the nation.
He concluded by praying that Allah enables everyone to truly understand Shab-e-Barat’s message and bring positive, lasting change in their lives.
