ISLAMABAD, Feb 2: The National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), operating under the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division, is set to organize a one-day national literary seminar titled ‘Urdu Adab aur Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Kashmir’ on Tuesday, February 3, to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The seminar aims to underscore the role of Urdu literature in reflecting and supporting the Kashmiri struggle for independence.
The event will be presided over by renowned scholar Prof Dr Maqsood Jafri. Distinguished academics and literary figures, including Dr Zafar Hussain Zafar, Dr Sadia Tahir, Dr Abu Bakar Rathore, Dr Rabia Kayani, and Dr Shakeel Ahmad Khan, will share their insights on the subject.
Welcome remarks will be given by Dr Rashid Hamid, while Professor Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar will provide the vote of thanks. The seminar will be moderated by Dr Amjad Kallu.
This event is open to scholars, writers, students, and literature enthusiasts, providing a crucial platform to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir through thoughtful and literary discussion.
