RAWALPINDI, Feb 02: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, met with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters on Monday.
The discussions centered on shared interests, the regional security landscape, and opportunities for enhancing bilateral military cooperation, according to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Air Chief emphasized the strong religious and historical connections between Pakistan and Libya, highlighting PAF’s operational readiness and modernization efforts, including multi-domain capability development and a focus on indigenization, innovation, and human resource development.
He reiterated PAF’s dedication to furthering professional cooperation with the Libyan Air Force. The delegation was briefed on PAF’s indigenization projects as part of the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park.
Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar praised PAF’s professionalism and expressed significant interest in enhancing cooperation through joint training, exercises, and professional exchanges.
The visit highlights a renewed vigor in defense collaboration between the two nations.
