RAWALPINDI, Feb 02: Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Headquarters on Monday.
The discussion centered on issues of mutual interest, regional security, and ways to enhance military cooperation between the two nations, according to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Air Chief emphasized the longstanding religious and historical ties between Pakistan and Libya, along with the PAF’s operational readiness and modernization efforts. He discussed the focus on multi-domain capability development, indigenization, innovation, and human resource development.
He also assured the commitment of PAF to further improving professional cooperation with the Libyan Air Force. The delegation was informed about PAF’s initiatives on indigenization within the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park.
Lieutenant General Haftar praised the professionalism of PAF and expressed a strong interest in expanding cooperation through joint training, exercises, and professional exchanges.
The visit highlights a renewed vigor in defense collaboration between the two brotherly nations.
