Two Arrested in Viral Kite Flying and Aerial Firing Incident in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Feb 01: Police have apprehended two individuals following the circulation of a video on social media that captured kite flying and aerial firing, alongside the exhibition of weapons.
The police spokesperson reported that the operation was swiftly launched within the Dhamyal police station’s jurisdiction after the video emerged online.
During the operation, authorities seized kites and weapons from the detainees.
The spokesperson further stated that efforts are ongoing to identify and detain other accomplices involved in the incident.
SP Saddar Anam Sher noted that the Punjab government considers kite flying, aerial firing, and the display or promotion of weapons as legal offences.
She cautioned that individuals who instill fear and jeopardize citizens’ safety through such actions will face legal consequences.
Rawalpindi Police reiterated their dedication to upholding law and order, urging the public to assist by reporting such activities.
