Lahore, Jan 30: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has reaffirmed his strong commitment to protecting press freedom and addressing journalists’ professional and welfare-related concerns, emphasizing that a free and responsible media is crucial for a vibrant and functioning democracy.

In an informal meeting with Pakistan English Media Association (PEMA) office-bearers at a local hotel on Friday, Speaker Ahmad assured the participants that the Punjab Assembly would take a proactive and constructive approach towards resolving the challenges faced by working journalists.
