BEIJING, Jan 30: Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Friday.
The discussion focused on a report from the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, addressing its review of work reports from the leading Party members groups belonging to the top legislature, central government, top political advisory body, supreme court, and supreme procuratorate, along with the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.
The performance of these institutions in 2025 was fully lauded, and their work plans for 2026 received approval.
Throughout 2025, the five leading Party members groups upheld the authority and centralized leadership of the Party Central Committee, contributing to the successful accomplishment of the year’s primary objectives and conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan, as noted in the meeting.
The Secretariat effectively implemented the Party Central Committee’s decisions and plans, dedicating its efforts to the assigned tasks among other responsibilities.
Recognizing this year as both the 105th anniversary of the CPC’s founding and the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the meeting urged the five leading Party members groups to align their work with major strategic goals for economic and social development and aim for a successful start to the new five-year plan.
The Secretariat was also encouraged to execute the tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee with excellence.
