ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: Former President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Women Wing, Afshan Saeed Advocate, has joined the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
She announced her decision at a press conference held at the National Press Club in Islamabad, accompanied by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and senior PML-N leaders.
Afshan Saeed expressed her enthusiasm for embarking on a new political journey with PML-N, emphasizing her dedication to addressing women’s issues and serving the people of her constituency.
She expressed gratitude for the respect she received during her time with the Muslim Conference and credited the leadership for their support.
In her welcome, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf described her inclusion as a valuable addition, anticipating her political stature to grow within PML-N. He highlighted that educated and visionary leaders like Afshan Saeed are assets to the party and will help strengthen it in the region.
He further stated that PML-N has remained instrumental in national development, extending initiatives such as health cards and laptop schemes to Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, in alignment with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s focus on uplifting underdeveloped areas.
