ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: The former President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Women Wing, Afshan Saeed Advocate, has joined the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
She made this announcement at a press conference held at the National Press Club, Islamabad, accompanied by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and senior PML-N leaders.
Afshan Saeed expressed that she is embarking on a new political journey with PML-N, reaffirming her commitment to serve the people of her constituency, with a particular focus on addressing women’s issues.
She acknowledged the respect she had received during her time in the Muslim Conference, crediting its leadership for their support.
Welcoming her to the party, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf described her as a valuable addition, noting that her political stature is expected to further grow within PML-N. He emphasized that educated and visionary leaders like Afshan Saeed are assets to the party and would enhance its strength in the region.
He further highlighted the role PML-N has consistently played in national development, mentioning initiatives such as health cards and laptop schemes being extended to Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, aligning with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts to uplift underdeveloped areas.
