The Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) has praised the pro-export measures announced by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, recognizing them as crucial steps to support exporters and foster industrial growth in the country.
SIMAP highlighted key incentives introduced by the Prime Minister, such as a reduction of Rs. 4.04 per unit in industrial electricity tariffs, a decrease in the export refinance rate from 7.5 percent to 4.5 percent, and the issuance of Blue Passports to top-performing exporters.
According to the association, these measures will significantly enhance the international competitiveness of Pakistani exporters, alleviate financial pressure on the industrial sector, and facilitate smoother global business interactions.
SIMAP Chairman Zeshan Tariq expressed strong appreciation for the Prime Minister’s commitment to supporting exporters and advancing industrial development. He noted that these policies would play a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s export performance and economic resilience.
