President Calls for Unity and Renewal on Shab-e-Barat

ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that Shab-e-Barat is one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar, offering believers a valuable chance for repentance, self-reflection, and sincere devotion to Allah.
In his message to the nation on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, the President highlighted the night, observed on the 15th of Sha’ban, as a time of mercy, forgiveness, and divine decisions. He referred to religious scholars who regard it as a night when Allah grants forgiveness, mercy, and salvation to His followers.
The President noted that Shab-e-Barat serves as a reminder of Allah’s limitless mercy, compassion, and kindness. It urges believers to review their actions critically, seek sincere forgiveness, and reform their lives in line with principles of righteousness and piety.
He emphasized that Islam advocates for patience, forgiveness, compassion, and empathy, and Shab-e-Barat is a practical opportunity to embrace these noble values. The night inspires individuals to regret past mistakes and commit to a more righteous future path.
The President urged citizens to fully embrace the blessings of Shab-e-Barat by respecting others’ rights, promoting peace, tolerance, harmony, and playing an active role in the country’s development, stability, and prosperity.
President Zardari conveyed that Shab-e-Barat delivers a message of hope, reform, and unity. He stated the occasion offers a chance to prioritize national interest and collective welfare over personal interests.
He prayed for Allah Almighty to bless Pakistan with peace and security, economic stability, and national unity, and to grant the people the ability to support one another and succeed in their efforts for the country’s welfare.
President Zardari concluded by praying that Allah would enable everyone to truly understand the message of Shab-e-Barat, act upon it, and bring positive and lasting changes in their lives.
