ISLAMABAD, Feb 04: Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Inspector General of the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), on Wednesday called upon trainee assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and professionalism. He emphasized that policing is a revered profession dedicated to safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens.
During his address to ASPs from the 28th Initial Command Course of the 52nd Specialized Training Programme at the NHMP Central Police Office in Islamabad, the IGP underscored that public service, the rule of law, and justice delivery are fundamental to the police service. He urged officers to perform their duties with unwavering dedication, regardless of the circumstances.

He encouraged the officers to continually enhance their professional capabilities, appreciate the complexities of modern policing, and leverage technology for better service delivery.
Highlighting the mission of the NHMP, Chaudhry stated its commitment to ensuring traveller safety on motorways and highways through high professional standards and prompt assistance.

He also emphasized that the NHMP is trusted by the public for its commitment to on-road courtesy and support, highlighting the force’s performance as a national pride.
Earlier in the event, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Masroor Alam Kolachi provided the visiting officers with an overview of the NHMP’s organizational structure, professional achievements, and operational duties.
The trainee ASPs were also educated on the operations of the NHMP Command and Control Centre and the 130 helpline. Their visit included a tour of the motorway’s main toll plaza, where they gained insights into the Public Service Vehicle Management Information System, before concluding their experience at the NHMP North Region Sector Office in Khairabad.
