ISLAMABAD, Feb 03: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, met with former Member of the European Parliament, Bjorn Hultin, and Swedish artist Carl Hultin. They discussed cultural ties, dialogue, and avenues for bilateral cooperation.
Governor Kundi emphasized the robust relations between Pakistan and the European Union across multiple sectors, advocating for further strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of peoples on both sides. Additionally, he urged the European Union to not neglect the Kashmir issue, describing it as one of the world’s longest unresolved disputes.
Bjorn Hultin was part of a European delegation that visited Pakistan to attend the launch of the photo book “Kashmir: Wait and See” by Belgian photojournalist Cedric Gerbehaye. The delegation’s visit was organized by Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of the Kashmir Council European Union.
During the meeting, Bjorn Hultin reflected on his visit to Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as both memorable and educational. He noted that interactions with political leaders and citizens provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the region.
Expressing his interest in future visits, Hultin stated his desire to travel to Peshawar and appreciated the hospitality extended by the Governor. In return, Governor Kundi invited the European delegation to Peshawar to attend the photo exhibition of “Kashmir: Wait and See.”
