BEIJING, January 30: Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Friday.
The meeting focused on reviewing a report from the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau regarding its examination and discussion of work reports from the top legislature, central government, senior political advisory body, supreme court, and supreme procuratorate, along with the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.
The meeting recognized the substantial work done by these institutions in 2025 and endorsed their work plans for 2026.
In 2025, the five leading Party member groups steadfastly supported the authority and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, effectively fulfilled their roles, and contributed to achieving the year’s primary tasks and objectives, alongside the successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan, as noted in the meeting.
It was highlighted that the Secretariat rigorously implemented the decisions of the Party Central Committee and worked extensively to complete the tasks assigned by the Party Central Committee, among other responsibilities.
As this year marks the 105th anniversary of the CPC and the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the meeting urged the five leading Party member groups to align their efforts with strategic objectives for economic and social development under the 15th Five-Year Plan and strive for a strong start to this planning period.
The Secretariat was also called upon to execute the Party Central Committee’s tasks with high quality.
