LAHORE, Jan 31: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed profound grief and sorrow on Saturday over the passing of the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.
The Prime Minister prayed for the elevation of Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry’s soul and offered his condolences for strength and patience to the bereaved family. He acknowledged Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry as a wise and seasoned politician.
Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry dedicated his entire life to serving the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister remarked, “Today, the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have lost a great leader in the form of Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.”
Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry was a vigorous advocate for the Kashmir cause and actively opposed Indian atrocities against the Kashmiri people. His services for the Kashmiri people and his struggle for the Kashmir cause will always be remembered in history.
