LAHORE, Jan 28: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MediaCom Digital Institute, Jhang, to establish the e-Rozgaar 2.0 Centre. This initiative is aimed at empowering the youth with in-demand digital skills and creating sustainable freelancing opportunities.
The MoU was signed by PITB Director General for e-Governance, Sajid Latif, and MediaCom Digital Institute’s Chief Executive Officer, Nadeem Aftab Sandhu. The ceremony was attended by PITB’s Director of the Skills Development Wing, Ahmed Islam, MediaCom Digital Institute’s Managing Director, Muhammad Manan Sarwar, and other senior officials from both organizations.
PITB’s e-Rozgaar 2.0 seeks to provide young people with training in advanced digital skills aligned with current market demands, facilitating opportunities in freelancing that enable them to secure respectable employment in domestic and international digital markets.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf highlighted that e-Rozgaar 2.0 is a new phase in PITB’s flagship program, enhancing access to digital skills via strategic partnerships with educational and training institutions. He stressed that this initiative will support more youth in attaining economic self-reliance through freelancing and digital entrepreneurship.
